Women-Led Participatory Planning in Indonesia: Actions with Impact from Lombok Island
In East and North Lombok, Indonesia, groups of inspiring women from Sekolah Perempuan are leading the way in making positive changes in their communities. This study takes a closer look at their experiences, focusing on the challenges they face and how they are overcoming them to improve local development and promote gender equality. Through conversations and observing their activities, we learn about their struggles and, more importantly, their powerful strategies for making a difference. These women are not just facing cultural and social obstacles but actively shaping policies and community plans. Their stories are not just about the hurdles they encounter but about their strength, resilience, and the impactful changes they are making in their society.Â
